2007-10-26: W3C has named Shadi Abou-Zahra to the position of WAI International Program Office Activity Lead. The Activity's groups are responsible for education and outreach, coordination with research, general discussion on Web accessibility, coordination with the WAI Technical Activity, and WAI liaisons with other organizations including standards organizations. Shadi joined W3C in 2003. He coordinates WAI outreach in Europe, accessibility evaluation techniques, and worked on the WAI-TIES Project, and currently with the WAI-AGE Project. Shadi will continue to lead development of the Evaluation and Report Language (EARL) and chair the Evaluation and Repair Tools Working Group (ERT WG).
